

The project SSC Digitalisation of Journals (DigiZeitschriften) aims to make available a selection of German scientific journals of particular relevance for direct access from the internet. At present journals from 19 subjects are available. The spectrum of subjects is expanded continuously. 3.6 million pages from almost 144 scientific journals are available electronically in a database from volume 1 to the present. More pages are added continuously. The database offers various search options for free search as well as browsing by volumes, issues or articles. Downloading and printing-out of documents is possible.
Five of the selected journals are from the subject economics:
DigiZeitschriften is provided to libraries and scientific institutions since 2004. Since 1st January, 2005 DigiZeitschriften can be subscribed to.
The ZBW is a project partner in DigiZeitschriften within the framework of Verein DigiZeitschriften e.V. under the lead management of the Niedersächsischen Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen. (State and University Library of Lower Saxonia in Göttingen). The project DigiZeitschriften was started on 1st January 2001.
