EconBot

We proudly present: EconBot! The new twitter information service for economics.

The German National Library for Economics (ZBW) has already found many ways to offer their services via internet to its customers. With EconStor we developed an open access-publication server for economics that is also available on Facebook. EconDesk, our personal and uncomplicated chat service, assists you with all your questions concerning economics. Starting from today our services are yet extended by another facet.

As of now EconBiz, our specialist portal for economics is directly available via twitter. The contact for your research questions is the account @EconBot. It accepts your research wishes and presents to you in a matter of seconds relevant results on EconBiz.

This is how EconBot works

To answer your questions with the help of EconBot simply create a tweet following this scheme: @EconBot + #searchterm1

For example: @econbot #economic psychology (Please note: No space between hashtag and searchterm!)

EconBot will answer directly to your twitter account. It will inform you about the number of results and present a direct link to the result page on EconBiz.

FAQ EconBot

Do I have to follow EconBot, to be able to ask a question?

No. Just write @EconBot at the beginning of the tweet and add a hashtag and your search term.

Which and how many search terms can I set?

There is no limitation for the number of search terms. All words have to be connected by an AND. Please note that just letters, numbers and "*" wildcards (e.g.: "import*") are permitted. Wildcards must not be placed at the beginning of the search word.

EconBot does not answer. What am I doing wrong?

The problem could be caused by twitter, e.g. when the service is busy. In this case please wait for a few minutes or visit www.econbiz.de to use the search directly.

EconBot does not show me relevant results!

EconBot presents its results on the basis of your input. You could try a new search term or a combination of search terms. Hot tips on how to use EconBiz can be found here.

I received an error report.
