The Excellence Awards in Global Economic Affairs 2011 (Kiel Institute for the World Economy) goes to Paolo Surico (London).

Paolo Surico is associate professor at the Economics Department of the London Business School and research affiliate at CEPR. Until July 2009, he was Research Advisor of the External Members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England. Paolo Surico hold a Ph.D. from Bocconi University (School of economics in Milan, Italy)) . His fields of interest are Macroeconomics, Business Cycle, Monetary Economics and Applied Econometrics (Homepage, Paolo Surico, 21.04.11).
