Services in Kiel: Printing and copying facilities

In the ZBW in Kiel you can print out online documents. These print-outs bear a charge. There is a coin-operated photocopier available if you wish to make copies.

You also have the option of having copies made by our print and copy service. This regards in particular photocopies to be made of microfilms and microfiches as well as older newspapers which may not be copied at other machines in the library.

Network printer

At the internet workstations of the ZBW in Kiel you can print out online documents. This includes articles from electronic journals and contents of databases for which the ZBW has a user’s license and which are generally not accessible outside of the ZBW. The print-outs will be paid for by debiting a stored value card (Campus Card of Kiel University and Colleges or student’s ID from the FH Kiel).

You can acquire a Campus Card, on payment of a 2.50 € deposit, from our Print and Copy Service (second floor of the old building). The Print and Copy Service is open:

Monday – Friday: 9.00 - 17.00h

The printer and a loading unit for the stored value cards are located in the media room on the first floor of the library. You can use EC cards for loading.

Photocopiers

In the ZBW in Kiel photocopiers are at your disposal.

The copiers are coin-operated. Please remember to bring sufficient small change. During the opening hours of the Print and Copy Service (Monday - Friday from 9.00 - 17.00h) you can have money changed there.

Newspapers older than 10 years must be copied by our Print and Copy Service to protect the fragile material.
