The project aims to provide a new platform for the publication of replication studies and systematic re-views in empirical economics.
IREE will be organized as an open access journal without author publishing fees to attract a maximum number of submissions and a high visibility. The journals main focus lies on papers which analyze the robustness of empirical findings or descriptions of micro-data sets available to researchers will be published continuously. Whenever possible, the underlying data will be stored in the journal’s archive and made available to other researchers. Each part of the publication (article, data set, documentation) will be assigned with a unique DOI to enable an easier way to cite.
IREE provides an opportunity for systematic publications of replication studies and re-views and thus supports the accuracy and robustness of empirical findings in economic research and the quality of advice to policy makers.
The International Journal for Re-Views in Empirical Economics is a cooperative project of DIW, Leuphana University of Lüneburg, and ZBW, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) from November 2016 to April 2018.
