ECONIS Select – Die Reform des Internationalen Währungsfonds (IWF) - Mehr Mitsprache für die Schwellenländer

Der Geschäftsführende Direktor des IWF hat die am 5. November 2010 vom Exekutivrat beschlossene Reform der Stimmrechtsverteilung zugunsten der bislang unterrepräsentierten Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländer als die umfassendste Reform in der 65-jährigen Geschichte des Fonds bezeichnet. Damit hat er zwar Recht, aber dies zeigt nur, dass bislang so gut wie keine Reformen stattfanden, die den Gewichtsverschiebungen in der Weltwirtschaft Rechnung getragen hätten.
