ECONIS Select – Energie in Japan: 1. Energiepolitik

Die fortdauernde Atomkatastrophe im Nordosten Japans als Folge von Erdbeben und Tsunami rückt die spezielle Energiesituation des Landes in den Fokus der Weltöffentlichkeit: Aufgrund von Rohstoffmangel und Insellage ist die Nutzung der Kernenergie eine wichtige Option bei der Versorgung von Wirtschaft und Privathaushalten.

Die folgende Literaturzusammenstellung bringt abseits der tagesaktuellen Thematik eine Übersicht über die japanische Energiesituation und zeigt, dass die Energienutzung dort wesentlich komplexer ist als die gegenwärtige Berichterstattung in den Medien vermuten lässt. Behandelt werden u.a. Ressourcenbeschaffung, Kooperation mit den anderen Staaten der Region, Anstrengungen zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz und Ansätze zum Energiesparen sowie Aspekte der Nutzung der Kernenergie und anderer Energieträger.
