Mit Getöse und Vorberichterstattung in der Bild-Zeitung hat das Bundeskartellamt die Öffentlichkeit aufgeklärt. Auf dem deutschen Tankstellenmarkt gibt es ein Oligopol. Ein Indikator dafür ist neben den Marktanteilen, die seit 20 Jahren bekannt sind, die Erkenntnis, dass sich Preise häufig ändern, praktisch so wie an der Börse.
