ECONIS Select – ACTA - Anticounterfeiting Trade Agreement

Am 26. Januar 2012 wurde das Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, kurz ACTA, von der Europäischen Kommission im Namen von 22 Mitgliedstaaten unterzeichnet. Damit ist ein Meilenstein auf dem Weg zur Inkraftsetzung eines Abkommens erreicht, das auf der TRIPS-Vereinbarung (Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights) basiert und diese verschärft. An den offiziellen Verhandlungen, die seit 2008 stattfanden, waren neben der EU zwölf Industriestaaten beteiligt.
