IREE is a new scientific journal for replication studies in emprical economcis.
IREE is an Open-Access-Journal without author publishing fees to attract a maximum number of submissions and a high visibility. The journals main focus lies on papers which analyze the robustness and generalizability of empirical findings. If accepted after a peer-review underlying data and programming code will be published alongside the manuscript stored in the journal’s archive. Each part of the publication (article, data, programming) will be assigned with a unique DOI to enable an easier way to cite.
IREE provides an opportunity for systematic publications of replication studies and thus supports the accuracy and robustness of empirical findings in economic research and the quality of advice to economic policy.
The International Journal for Re-Views in Empirical Economics is a cooperative project of DIW, Leuphana University of Lüneburg, and ZBW. Initally funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) until April 2018, IREE is now jointly funded by the ZBW and Joachim-Herz-Stiftung for another 2.5 years.
