Access to research-relevant databases, journals and ebooks is the basis of scholarly work. The negotiation and conclusion of fair licensing agreements with adequate usage rights and conditions for providing information in economics is the task of the licence management team at the ZBW.
The ZBW belongs to a circle of consortium-leading institutions in Germany and actively contributes to scholarly information provision. More than 400 libraries and scientific institutions in Germany benefit from the ZBW-led consortia. We focus on consortial licences for information sources in economics; among them are a number of national and alliance licences funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Our range of services includes the negotiation of costs and terms of contract, and also the administration of licences. We support member institiutions of a consortium in all questions arising in connection with a licensed product.
The ZBW is a member of GASCO, the umbrella organisation for library consortia in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The GASCO Monitor lists all ZBW-led consortia for scientific institutions and their products.
If you represent an institution interested in participating in a consortium, or if you have any questions or suggestions for these offers, you are welcome to contact our team.
