The ZBW keeps holdings of economic information (publications and metadata) successively acquired within the framework of national or alliance licences in dedicated repositories (hosting) and makes them searchable through individual interfaces. The development and modification of the repositories is based on the open-source repository software DSpace, whereas user and access administration is managed with the central Content Management system of the head office of the Common Library Network (GBV) in Göttingen.

Holdings which have been made available through repositories for national licences include the EIU Country Reports of “The Economist” and the publications of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
