EDUArc

The project develops a proven design concept for distributed learning infrastructures that enable the federated provision of digital educational resources and other information relevant to studying. It studies the technical, didactical and organisational conditions for success of an education architecture that arises from the linking of the digital infrastructure of universities and from the interaction of governmental, public and private stakeholders. It joins decentralised systems via open standards and interfaces, and it is open for the integration of future providers and users of content. The planned architecture must be devised for open as well as not-open licensed (references to) resources, since different licensing variations will be relevant and expedient for teaching in the future.

The alliance aims to study the conditions of success for the dissemination of digital educational resources at universities and to create design concepts for digital educational architectures for and at universities, to test them in cooperation with universities, and make them available to universities.

The project addresses the problem of which infrastructural, organisational and didactical framework conditions are required to develop sustainable digital educational resources for tertiary education in cooperation with stakeholders.
