Events and training: knowledge transfer and open science in economic research

The ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics supports economic research in Germany with services that strengthen knowledge transfer and promote open exchange. Our events and training courses bring researchers together, impart practical knowledge in the context of reproducible science, and create platforms for dialogue and collaboration – both in the field of open science and beyond.

Reproducibility is often taught as a set of principles: share data, document code, pre-specify analyses, and make results transparent. Replication Games turn these principles into practice.

Security architecture in Europe is the theme of the anniversary conference organised by Wirtschaftsdienst – Journal of Economic Policy and Intereconomics – Review of European Economic Policy, published by the ZBW, to be held on 7 October 2026 in Berlin.

Overview of all ZBW events

The ZBW organises events to bring together scientists, decision makers from science and science policy, practitioners from academic libraries and publishing houses, and shapes the debate in science and science policy.
